Canon PowerShot N100 Announced with Dual Capture Mode

Canon has announced the PowerShot N100, a new concept “Story Camera“. The Powershot N100 feature a tiltable display, a 12MP sensor, DIGIC 6, a 24mm f/1.8 lens. The N100 has WiFi & NFC, and the so called Dual Capture feature which means there is a “rear-facing secondary camera to capture your expression while shooting and then creates a picture-in-picture effect”. The N100 is also the first PowerShot to use Canon’s new DIGIC 6 processor.

With the innovative and new Dual Capture mode, users can simultaneously capture special moments using the Main Camera, while the Story Camera, a rear facing sub-camera, will embed a picture of them onto the main image. The Story Highlights mode intuitively creates a highlight reel of images and video to create a customized movie.  The N100’s ‘Story Highlights’ feature can put together a video montage of recent events.

The Canon Powershot N100 will be priced for $349.99. The N100 will be available in May 9, 2014 with white and black color options.
