Nikon DF To Be Placed Between D610 and D800 / D800E Cameras
More details have been leaked for the upcoming Nikon DF retro DSLR camera. The information comes from an internal Nikon Df camera presentation posted by NR.
The presentation showing the Nikon DSLR pyramid placing the new Nikon DF camera (codenamed Q1020) between newly announced entry-level Nikon D610 DSLR and the high-end Nikon D800 / D800E full frame cameras. When you look at the company’s pyramid Df is not included in the current lineup. It also means that the DF will create its own product pyramid as a new brand.
If we position the Nikon DF between the D610 and D800 than the placement on the pyramid also gives us a hint about the price of the Nikon Df. The Nikon D610 is currently selling for $1,996.96, while the D800 priced at at $2,796.95. This makes the prediction of Nikon Df camera price around $2,000.
