Updated Rumors : Sony Camera Roadmap 2023-2024
Here are the latest updates on the upcoming Sony Camera Roadmap in 2023-2024. There are many new Sony cameras expected to be released this year. Below you can find the list of rumored Sony compact cameras, E-mount cameras to be announced in 2023-2024.
We hope these expectations will come true and we will meet the Sony a9 III, Sony A7S IV, Sony A7 V, Sony A7R VI, Sony ZV-E20 & ZV-E10 II, Sony FX6 II and Sony A1 II.
Sony is expected to announce several new Sony mirrorless cameras, compact vlogging cameras and cinema cameras in 2023-2024. Here are the rumored Sony Camera Roadmap for 2023-2024:
Rumored Sony Camera Roadmap 2023-2024
Sony a9 III
Created specifically to support working professionals in the fields of sports photography and photojournalism, the Sony a9 III will be the worthy successor to the Sony a9 II, and it is gearing up to compete with the Canon EOS R5, R5 Mark II and Nikon Z8.
The Sony a9 III will be the fastest Sony camera as previously reported, and will be faster than any other mirrorless camera to date, with a new stacked sensor. The pixel count of the sensor has not yet been confirmed and is pending confirmation from a reliable source. You can also see the Sony a9 III rumored specs here.
We are waiting for confirmation from reliable sources and will pay attention to additional information (rumors) in the future.
Sony a7 V
The Sony a7 V will replce the currently a7 IV and is expected to be released in late 2024 to early 2025.
Currently, there are NOT many rumors about the Sony a7 V release date. On the other hand expectations for the Sony a7 V to feature is improved sensor and processor, enhanced video capabilities, faster shooting and tracking autofocus, better OLED viewfinder and rear LCD, improved body design, dual card slots with CFexpress Type A support with a price tag around $2,500.
Sony a7R VI
The Sony a7R VI will be a new high megapixel full frame mirrorless camera to replace current Sony a7R V. The official release date will probably be in late 2025 – early 2025.
Sony a1 II
The Sony a1 II flagship full frame mirrorless camera will be released in 2024 to replace the current Sony a1.
Sony a7S IV
Just like the Sony a1 II, the Sony a7S IV will be released in 2024 to replace the current Sony a7S III.
Sony ZV-E20 & ZV-E10 II
The Sony ZV-E20 & ZV-E10 II will be the successor to the ZV-E10, with a new sensor, and new video features and some improvements over ZV-E10.
Sony FX6 II
The Sony FX6 II professional full frame cinema camera will be announced in 2024 to replce the current FX6.
