Panasonic Lumix S5II Firmware Update (Version 2.0) Coming In June
The Panasonic Lumix S5II will receive a firmware update in June that adds a useful creative feature as well as further RAW output support. Panasonic has announced that a firmware update will be available in the Summer for the Panasonic Lumix S5II.
Available on 13 June 2023, version 2.0 firmware will bring RAW data output over HDMI as well as Blackmagic RAW capabilities, as seen on the Lumix S5IIX (available Summer 2023). The firmware update program will also include Live View Composite, enabling users to capture long exposure looks even in the daytime.
The Panasonic Lumix DC-S5 II is the company’s latest version of their mid-range full-frame stills and video mirrorless camera. It adds phase detection autofocus to its 24MP CMOS sensor and uses the L mount shared with Leica and Sigma.
As well as a firmware announcement, Panasonic has also said that 3 of its lenses have been reduced in price by up to 28%, making the lenses more accessible in the current economic climate.
