Rumors : Canon EOS R7, EOS R8 & EOS R9 APS-C Mirrorless Cameras
Here are some detailed rumors about the Canon EOS R7, EOS R8 & EOS R9 APS-C Mirrorless Cameras. Canon is rumored to announce several RF-mount mirrorless cameras with APS-c sensors inside.
The aforementioned new Canon APS-c mirrorless cameras seem to serve photographers and videographers in different segments. The products in question are the Canon EOS R7, EOS R8 & EOS R9 and expected to arrive in the next 1-2 years.
Canon EOS R7 is said to be the successor and could be the real replacement for the aging EOS 7D Mark II. Canon discontinued the Canon 7D series a while ago, and for now, Canon 90D holds the king of Canon APS-C flagship DSLR Camera. Here are the details.
Canon EOS R7: The first Canon RF mount camera with an APS-C image sensor. It is already undergoing testing in the field by a select group of photographers. The official announcement will come as soon as Q4 of 2021, or Q1 in 2022. The source claims that the Canon EOS R7 APS-C RF mount camera will be “directly aimed at sports, wildlife and videography”, to replace the Canon EOS 7D Mark II? And this Canon EOS R7 is rumored to have a 32.5MP APS-C CMOS sensor, DIGIC X Image Processor, 5-Axis IBIS and UHD 4K60p & Full HD 120p video and more.
Canon EOS R8: The second Canon APS-C RF mount mirrorless camera. This camera will be designed for vloggers and other types of social media creators.
Canon EOS R9: The third Canon APS-C RF mount mirrorless camera. This will be the entry-level camera to the EOS R system.
Of course, these are just rumors and we cannot claim that all these models will be implemented yet. The previous rumor said that Canon will stop spending more resources developing Canon EOS M series cameras and 2021 will be the last year for Canon EOS M series cameras. This information is still not verified by reliable sources so take this information with a pinch of salt.
