Rumors : Updated Nikon Z9 Specifications
Nikon officially announced the development of the Nikon Z9 flagship full-frame mirrorless camera. While this is only a “development” announcement, Nikon has already given us a glimpse of what we can expect from this beast.
The Z9 will be Nikon’s first full-frame mirrorless camera to record 8K video. It will be a pro-grade mirrorless camera with an integrated vertical grip. The camera will have a newly developed FX-format stacked CMOS sensor and a new image-processing engine.
Nikon’s top-of-the-line flagship mirrorless camera is now listed on B&HPhoto. Here is what we know so far from the official Nikon Z9 official development announcement:

- No official plans for a Nikon Z8 camera yet
- Prototype Z9 cameras will be tested at the Tokyo Olympics this Summer
- The Z9 is described as a D6 body combined with EOS R5 imaging, a9II AF, and blackout-free EVF
- Nikon confirmed that the Z9 will be better than the D6

- New user interface (no second LCD screen on the back like the D6)
