Rumored Nikon Z-Mount Lens Roadmap for 2019

Here’s the roadmap for the Nikon Z lenses that is made in rumors or previously mentioned for 2019. We already know that Nikon has serious plans for the next three years of Z-mount lenses.

According to the official Z-mount lens roadmap published in late 2018, Nikon is planning on hitting most of the other standard focal lengths in 2019, including 85mm, 24-70mm and 70-200mm Z lenses. The company will release six lenses in 2019, six more in 2020 and eight in 2021. This will make the lineup a total of 20 lenses for Nikon Z-system.

The most exciting one is sure the NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0.95 S NOCT lens which the company claims will have the ‘highest rendering performance’ and ‘flawless transitions’ between in- and out-of-focus areas, and will be manual focus only. The manual focus Nikkor Z Noct 58mm f/0.95 lens is coming soon probably in late January 2019.

Nikon has three Nikkor Z-mount lenses available at and slightly after the launch of the Nikon Z6 and Nikon Z7 full frame mirrorless cameras. These are the ,  ,  lenses and the Mount Adapter FTZ.

Q1/2019

  • Nikkor Z Noct 58mm f/0.95
  • Nikkor Z 14-30mm f/4

Q2/2019

  • Nikkor Z 20mm f/1.8
  • Nikkor Z 85mm f/1.8

Q3/2019

  • Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/2.8
  • Nikkor Z 70-200mm f/2.8
