Two Canon R-Series Full Frame Mirrorless Cameras Coming in 2019
We already know that a flagship Canon full frame mirrorless camera will hit the shelves in 2019. Now it seems that we will see two more Canon R-series full frame mirrorless camera in 2019.
One of the Canon R-series cameras will be positioned below the current Canon EOS R ($2,299 at Amazon, B&H, Adorama) and probably the first one to be announced in 2019. This model could be the rumored 26.2MP Canon full frame mirrorless camera like the 6D Mark II.
The second EOS R-series body will be a “professional” series camera and rumored to be named as EOS R PRO. This full frame MILC is scheduled for late 2019. What “professional” means is unknown at the time of writing but it will probably be a baby EOS-1D X Mark II and built for speed and video.
In addition, Canon is allegedly working on a new EOS R camera with an APS-C image sensor meaning that a Canon EOS R version of the EOS 7D Mark II.
