Confirmed: Canon EOS R & 4 RF Lenses to be Announced on September 5th
Canon EOS R full frame mirrorless camera and four new Canon RF lenses to be announced on September 5th. Lenses for the Canon full frame mirrorless camera system will have a new mount called “RF“.
Four lenses which are expected to be anonunced along with the Canon EOS R; RF 35mm f/1.8 M IS, RF 50mm f/1.2L USM, RF 28-70mm f/2L USM, RF 24-105mm f/4L USM.
This major Canon EOS R announcement will also include EF and EF-M lenses. They are the EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM, EF 400mm f/2.8L IS III, EF 600mm f/4L IS III.

As we have mentioned earlier, the first Canon full frame mirrorless camera will be named as Canon EOS R. One of the two mentioned camera is rumored to compete with Sony a7 III and sure the new Nikon Z6.Below is the full list of new products to be announced on September 5th, 2018.
- Canon EOS R body
- Canon EOS R w/ 24-105mm f/4L lens kit
- RF 35mm f/1.8 M IS (It is unknown whether it is “M IS” or “MIS”)
- RF 50mm f/1.2L USM
- RF 28-70mm f/2L USM
- RF 24-105mm f/4L USM
- EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM
- EF 400mm f/2.8L IS III
- EF 600mm f/4L IS III
- M Adapter R (Since only “M.ADAP R” “M.ADAP R ND” “M.ADAP R PL” is written in the simple order form, the official name is unknown)
- PD – E1 is also included in the accessory list
