Fujifilm XF10 is the name of the X70 replacement
Fujifilm is rumored to announce a replacement of the X70 fixed-lens premium compact camera sometime in the near future. The new model is said to be called Fujifilm XF10 and it is believed to start a new naming scheme.
Earlier it was rumored and to continue the lineup as expected that Fuji X70 successor may be called Fuji X80. According to the latest information the upcoming premium compact camera will be called Fujifilm XF10 instead of the X80.
Before we head over to more details, Fujifilm XF10 will probably feature Bayer sensor.
Rumored X80 camera will be called the Fujiilm XF10
At first, the name of the mirrorless camera is expected to be the X80. However, separate sources have been able to confirm that the shooter will be called Fujifilm XF10.
This is a new naming scheme from Fuji, but it could signal its target audience. It is rumored that it will compete against the possible fixed-lens premium Sony RX100 VI and Ricoh GR III cameras.
The announcement date of the device remains unknown, but it is said to become official soon and to be released sometime in the first quarter of 2018.
Also, the X-T100 is apparently coming out in early 2018 with a new XC 15-45 kit lens. We haven’t heard much about the X-T100, but this is the first credible rumor we have come across.
