Sigma Announces 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM lens
Sigma has announced the 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM telephoto zoom lens. The lens is compact and lightweight optically stabilized with with a dust and splashproof mount. It weighs 1160g/41oz, is 182mm/7.2in long, and has a 67mm diameter filter thread.
For quick control of the angle of view, the zoom ring incorporates a push/pull mechanism in addition to the regular twist mechanism. It can focus down to 1.6m/5.2ft, and features a maximum magnification ratio of 1:3.8. The optical design comprises of 21 elements in 15 groups with four SLD (Special Low Dispersion) elements and a hypersonic motor with an updated algorithm.
