Zeiss Batis 60mm f/2.8 Macro Lens To Be Announced Soon
Zeiss is rumored to launch a new macro lens. It is expected to be the Zeiss Batis 60mm f/2.8 and to be announced soon.
ZEISS Batis lenses are equipped with dust and weather seals. This makes them to be used in even the harshest weather conditions. All ZEISS Batis lenses also supports all the operating modes and functions of the current range of E-mount cameras.
The Batis-series lenses delivers a very high image quality . The first three optics are the 25mm f/2, 85mm f/1.8 and the 18mm f/2.8 models. Now the rumor mill points to a September announcement.
Zeiss Batis 60mm f/2.8 Macro Lens Coming in September 2016
Just like the other Batis models, the upcoming macro lens will also be designed for A7-series full-frame mirrorless cameras. It will also be compatible with E-mount cameras with APS-c sized image sensor. If becomes available it will deliver a 35mm focal length equivalent of approximately 90mm.
Sony full-frame E-mount camera users only have the FE 90mm f/2.8 Macro G OSS lens priced for $1,098. The rumored Batis 60mm f/2.8 by Zeiss would be the second macro option for A7 owners.
