Samyang 35mm f/1.2 ED AS UMC CS lens officially announced
Samyang has officially announced the 35mm f/1.2 ED AS UMC CS lens for APS-C and Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras.
The new optic will deliver a full-frame equivalent of 52.5mm when mounted on APS-C cameras and 70mm when mounted on MFT cameras. The bright f/1.2 maximum aperture allows users to isolate their subject from the background and enables hand-held shooting in low-light conditions.
The Samyang 35mm f/1.2 ED AS UMC CS will include nine elements in seven groups, using two aspherical elements and Samyang’s ‘Ultra Multi Coat’ technology.

Samyang 35mm T1.3 Cine Lens for Mirrorless Cameras
Specifically, the Samyang 35mm T1.3 ED AS UMC CS is a cine lens optimally designed for professional follow focus system. It has quiet and smooth de-clicked focus and aperture gear rings. Also, the distance scale and T numbers are marked on both sides of the lens for convenience when filming.
With the addition of these new lenses, the current Samyang CSC lineup consists of 15 bright photo and cine lenses: 7.5mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 21mm, 35mm, 50mm for photo, cine lens and 300mm for photo lens.
Samyang 35mm f/1.2 ED AS UMC CS and T1.3 lenses will be globally available from September. The lenses will be released in Canon M, Fujifilm X, Sony E, and Micro Four Thirds versions. The price will stand EUR 449 for 35mm F1.2 lens and EUR 499 for T1.3 cine lens.
