Panasonic LX200 announcement scheduled for Photokina 2016
Panasonic is rumored to announce its next premium digital camera soon as the Panasonic LX200 announcement is scheduled to happen at Photokina event this year.
Photokina is the world’s biggest digital imaging show and it will open its doors by the end of September. Now prior to the event, more digital cameras and lenses on the horizon to be announced.
The LX100 hit the markets back in late 2014. It was the first model in series to offer built-in WiFi along with 4K video recording capabilities. Now in 2016, Panasonic LX100 will be replaced by the new model. Panasonic LX200 announcement rumored for Photokina show, sources say.

The Panasonic LX100 features a 16MP Four Thirds image sensor. It comes packed with a 24-75mm F1.7-F2.8 Leica lens. The mirrorless shooter also provides high speed burst shooting at 11 fps, and integrated Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity.
We have already shared the very first Panasonic LX200 specs list. According to the past sources, the Micro Four Thirds camera is expected to feature a 20-megapixel Live MOS image sensor. However, it seems like the camera will feature the same 16-megapixel Micro Four Thirds sensor found in the GX85 model.
Some highlights other than the image sensor can be found below.
- DFD AF technology that will increase the AF speed to 0.07 seconds
- Larger OLED viewfinder
- Tiltable screen similar to the GX8
- Built-in ND filter
- ISO up to 51,200
- New filter effects
- Built-in flash
The price of the LX100 dropped from about $900 down to about $700. The LX200 should have a price around $900 mark just like the LX100 was released in November 2014.
