Canon 1D X Mark II Release Date Scheduled for April 2016, Price $5,999
More information coming for the next flagship EOS-1D X Mark II full-frame DSLR camera as the release date and price information has been leaked online.
According to latest Canon Rumors, the flagship 1D X Mark II DSLR camera release date is April 2016 and will most likely have a price tag of $5,999.
It is confirmed from trusted sources that the Canon 1D X Mark II will come packed with a newly developed 22-megapixel sensor which is expected and adds 4mp over the current EOS-1D X. The flagship DSLR camera also to have 4k video recording capabilities.
Canon 1D X Mark II release date and price details leaked
The official announcement for the EOS-1D X Mark II is rumored to be announced in February/March timeframe to compete the rival Nikon D5 camera. Shipment will start in April, 2016.
The EOS 1D X Mark II will be capable of shooting 4K videos just like the newly announced Nikon D5. On the other hand the rumor mill is claiming that the 1D X Mark II will employ a 22-megapixel image sensor which is slightly bigger than the 20.9-megapixel sensor found in the Nikon D5.
If rumors are true than with megapixel advantage and 4K video recording feature Canon 1D X Mark II will cost $5,999 and it will be cheaper than the Nikon D5 which has a launch price tag of $6,499.95.
