Fuji is working on a new X-series digital compact camera. The company registered a new Fuji X70 camera on the website of a Chinese government agency.
We can say the Fuji X70 digital compact camera will be come packed with built-in Wi-Fi as usually this kind of registration refers to. This registration also means that the upcoming Fujifilm X70 camera could be announced within the 1-2 months.
The rumor mill in talks of several Fujifilm X-series compact and mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras in early 2016. The X-Pro2 and the XF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR lens are the closest products expected to be announced on January 15, 2016 right after the CES 2016 event. Fujifilm X70 is allegedly in the works and it will be placed below the Fuji X100T. The X70 compact camera will feature 16-megapixel X-Trans II CMOS APS-C-sized sensor and it will be in very compact sizes and the price tag is said to be below the $1,000 mark. Additionally The Fuji X70 model will not feature electronic viewfinder.
The Fujifilm X100T ($1,299.95 – Amazon | B&H | Adorama) features a 16.3-megapixel X-Trans CMOS II sensor with on-chip phase detection, a 23mm (35mm equivalent) f/2 lens, a 3-inch 1.04-million-dot monitor, seven customisable function buttons, raw shooting capability and a top sensitivity setting of ISO 51,200.
