Zeiss Distagon T* FE 35mm f/1.4 ZA Lens Reviews
From Mirrorlessons conclusion :
The Sony FE 35mm f/1.4 is a nice lens that delivers the kind of results you would expect. At the same time, it is not perfect from an image quality point of view (CA, some distortion) and to be honest it is not one of those lenses you fall in love with right from the start. Its size certainly doesn’t help but even if you consider its overall performance, it is really good but not stunning.
From PhotographyBlog conclusion :
There are only really two drawbacks to the 35mm f/1.4. At 630g, it’s not exactly light for a wide-angle prime lens and is actually heavier than a ready-to-shoot Alpha 7 II body. In fact, the only thing heavier than the lens itself is its price tag. To be fair, ultra-fast lenses like this are rarely cheap, but when you consider that the Sonnar T* 35mm f/2.8 can be had for less than half the price of the Distagon T* f/1.4, the latter’s two extra diaphragm blades and aperture stops don’t come cheap. British buyers are also likely to feel rather ripped off by the lens’ substantially higher RRP on this side of the pond.
The lens has a dedicated aperture ring with a button that can switch it from smooth to ‘clicky’. As one would expect from a high-end lens, the 35mm F1.4 is also weather-sealed. See :
Zeiss Distagon T* FE 35 mm f/1.4 ZA lens features a 9-blade circular aperture plus three aspherical elements and a Zeiss T* coating. It uses a Direct Drive SSM focus system that promises quiet and fast focusing.
