First Images of the Olympus E-M5II

First images of the upcoming Olympus E-M5II mirrorless camera with Micro Four Thirds image sensor have been leaked online.

From the Olympus E-M5II first images the rear LCD monitor seems to be the vari-angle and the placement of the dial and buttons on the upper surface has changed quite significantly from the current type.

Power switch of the cameras also seems to have been moved to the same left place like E-M1. The Olympus E-M5 Mark II will be available in black and silver color options. More details after the break!

Olympus E-M5 Mark II Expected Specifications

Olympus OM-D E-M5 will be replaced by E-M5 Mark II, a mirrorless camera with a new sensor shift mechanism and design. The Micro Four Thirds shooter will have the same E-M5 16-megapixel sensor without PDAF and the same 5-axis image stabilization system and proven dust-proof and splash-proof technology used on the OM-D E-M5.

The Pixel Shift mechanism found in some Hasselblad cameras, such as the H5D-200c, make it possible to capture 40MP images using the 16MP sensor inside the E-M5II by shifting the sensor and combining up to 8 shots into one.

Next-gen E-M5II camera is expected to be announced in the first week of February 2015.
