Canon 5D Mark III Replacement Will Come in Three Different Versions

Canon is allegedly planning to introduce its next EOS 5D DSLRs in three different versions. All high-end Canon DSLRs will act as 5D Mark III replacement including the big-megapixel models to the long-rumored 5D Mark IV.

According to trusted source from Canon Rumors, the 5D Mark III is rumored to be replaced by three different DSLR cameras. One of them is expected to be the 5D Mark IV which will feature a low-megapixel count (around 36MP).

This will would possibly make the EOS 5D Mark IV a direct competitor to the Nikon D750, and it will be ideal for events, wildlife, and sports photography.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II Replacement

The Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR camera features a 22.3 Megapixel Full-Frame CMOS sensor, Canon’s new DIGIC 5+ Image Processor and 14-bit A/D conversion.

On the other hand we already mentioned that the company is rumored to announce a high-megapixel full frame DSLR which might feature 52-megapixel sensor sometime in 2015.

These two big-megapixel DSLRs are Canon EOS 5Ds or EOS 3D. The difference between these two models will be the anti-aliasing filter.  One of them will have an AA filter and other will not.

So to wrap up the 5D Mark III replacement rumor; Canon’s upcoming EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR will continue on the path of a lower megapixel full frame sensor to focus on sports, wildlife photography. Canon EOS 5Ds or EOS 3D names are mentioned for the two other high megapixel full frame cameras.
