More Panasonic LX8 compact camera specs and details surfaced over the web. The high-end compact camera will feature an integrated neutral density ND filter like the Sony RX100 III.
Panasonic’s goal is to make a high quality premium compact camera to compete against the newly announced Sony RX100M3. As with the new rumored specs for the LX8, the camera on its way to be a serious competitor to the RX100 M3.
As we posted earlier the upcoming Panasonic LX8 will have 24-90mm f/2.0-2.8 fixed lens and 4k video recording capabilities. Panasonic LX8 will replace the LX7 and the new compact camera will be 3% larger than the previous model.
The premium camera will sport a larger sensor and a built-in electronic viewfinder, when compared to its predecessor. It will have a swivel touch screen with touch to focus and capture features.

Panasonic’s LX8 and Fujifilm X30 would be the first real competitor of the recently announced Sony RX100 M3. We can say the LX8 will be a direct competitor to RX100 M3. This will sure make the large sensor compact camera sensor very exciting.
