Olympus PEN E-P5 And STYLUS 1 Firmware Updates Now Available
Olympus has released a new firmware update for the Olympus PEN E-P5 micro four thirds system mirrorless and Stylus 1 bridge cameras. The new firmware version 1.4 for E-P5 and firmware version 1.1 for Stylus 1 can be updated by using the Olympus Digital Camera Updater.
New firmware update adds anti-shock feature just like the one added to the OM-D E-M1 micro four thirds shooter. The new firmware update also improves remote control functionality for both cameras when using the “Olympus Image Share” app. See the firmware details and download link below.
The Olympus PEN E-P5 features 16-Megapixel TruePic VI Live MOS sensor, FAST AF, 9 FPS burst shooting, 5-Axis Image Stabilization, 3.0″ tilt touchscreen LCD, Full HD 1080p video in MOV & AVI formats and built-in Wi-Fi.
Olympus Stylus 1 bridge camera features a larger-than-average 1/1.7″-type BSI-CMOS sensor and offers a brand new bright, fast telephoto i.Zuiko lens that boasts a constant aperture of f/2.8 and a large, hi-definition EVF.

E-P5 firmware version 1.4 additional features:
- Improved remote control functionality when using the “Olympus Image Share” app.
- Art Filter mode, custom self timer, zoom operation when using electric zoom lenses, digital tele-converter and cable remote release mode.
- *It is necessary to use the latest version of the Olympus Image Share app so it is recommended you also check your smartphone for updates too.
- A 0 second setting has been added to Anti Shock mode.
STYLUS 1 firmware version 1.1 additional features:
- Improved remote control functionality when using the “Olympus Image Share” app.
- Art Filter mode, custom self timer, zoom operation when using electric zoom lenses, digital tele-converter and cable remote release mode.
- *It is necessary to use the latest version of the Olympus Image Share app so it is recommended you also check your smartphone for updates too.
