The optical design consists of thirteen elements in nine groups. The lens has eight special elements: three extra-low dispersion, four high refractions, and one aspherical, as well as the company’s proprietary multilayer HD nano-coating. The manufacturer assures that the lens will allow you to get “clear and bright images without distortion and sharpness from the center to the edge.”
According to Viltrox, the 9-blade aperture, with a range of F2 to F16, provides “stunning bokeh.” Autofocus supports face and eye detection and is driven by a quiet and fast STM motor. The minimum focusing distance is 0.51 m.
