7Artisans announced a new 9mm f/5.6 ultra-wide prime lens for full-frame mirrorless cameras. The manual focus lens is available in Sony E, Nikon Z, Canon RF and Leica L mounts and it’s rectilinear, not a fisheye optic.
The Lens has a clicked aperture ring that stops down to f/22, with a minimum focus distance of only 20cm. It’s a compact and light lens, measuring 80 x 86mm and weighing only 463g. Due to its extreme 132-degree viewing angle, 7Artisans says it is one of the few truly ultra-wide-angle lenses on the market for full-frame cameras. For reference, lenses are typically described as a fisheye once the angle of view reaches 180 degrees.
The price of the 7Artisans 9mm f/5.6 lens is $479 and release date is end of October. You can get a 10% discount by using the code 10S8DTRQ on checkout at Amazon.
