Fujifilm GFX 100 II Firmware Update Version 1.10 Released

Fujifilm released the new firmware update Version 1.10 for  Fujifilm GFX 100 II medium format camera. The Fujifilm GFX100 II is the company’s latest high resolution medium format camera, that brings the latest AF and video capabilities to a redesigned camera body.

The GFX100 II is also a highly-capable video camera, with 8K / 30p video and ProRes raw recording, LUT color profiles, compatibility with an external SSD, and a cooling fan to extend record times.

Pre-orders available at  B&HPhoto / Amazon / Adorama. The camera has both CFe Type B and SD slots. It also incorporates the Camera-to-Cloud system from the X-H2s and X-H2, allowing connection to the Frame.io platform or to FTP servers. The camera also gains the ability to record IPTC standard metadata to its images.

Fujifilm GFX 100 II Firmware Version 1.10

The firmware update Ver.1.10 from Ver.1.00/1.03 incorporates the following issues:

*Ver.1.10 fixes the following six problems.

  1. Black border appears on the left side of the image when making RAW output from DCI-8K movie (ex. Monitor output with “ATOMOS”, “Blackmagic Design”, etc.).
    Note: The above border will be recorded on the movie.
  2. EVF display rarely becomes abnormal at continuous shooting under the following condition.
    ・EVF SETTING IN BOOST MODE：EVF FRAME RATE PRIORITY (120P)
  3. RAW images taken with GFX100 II may not be able to be developed depending on the development software.
  4. While continuous shooting, camera cannot turn off the power or freeze depending on the following shooting conditions.
    (1) Conditions to cannot turn off the power
    Shutter speed changes from faster than 1/4000 second to slower than 1/4000 second with the following settings.
    ・SHUTTER TYPE：M+E
    ・Continuous shooting mode：HIGH SPEED BURST
    ・Focus Mode：AF-C
    ・SHUTTER AE：OFF
    (2) Conditions to freeze
    Shutter speed changes from slower than 1/4000 second to faster than 1/4000 second with the following settings.
    ・SHUTTER TYPE：M+E
    ・Continuous shooting mode：HIGH SPEED BURST
    ・Focus Mode：AF-C
    ・SHUTTER AE：OFF
  5. The image display on EVF, LCD or external monitor through HDMI seems abnormal under certain conditions.
  6. Other minor bugs
