Nikon Z8 Announcement Scheduled for April ?

Title says it all. You might remember all the buzz about the Nikon Z8 mirrorless camera. It was expected to be announced in March and now accroding to recent reports from the rumor mill the Nikon Z8 announcement is scheduled for April.

Nikon is preparing for major new product announcement. We expect a development announcement of a major camera and it will probably be the Nikon Z8. So as of today we can say that the Nikon Z8 is rumored to be announced in April and shipping in May 2023.

The rumor also states that Nikon Z6 III on the way. We know that the upcoming Z8 will compete head-to-head with the newly released Sony a7R V(B&H, Amazon, Adorama) which costs $3,899. Nikon Z8 Rumored specs

  • Nikon Z8 will be a hybrid camera between Nikon Z7 and  Nikon Z9
  • Similar form factor to the Nikon Z6/Z7
  • Improved EVF
  • Improved AF
  • Announcement expected before the summer
  • Priced around $4,500
  •  Same sensor as Nikon Z9
  • to Start shipping in May 2023.
  • 8K 60 video

Also, Nikon Z8’s EVF is 9 million dots among the new specifications, it will be comparable to the current Sony A1 ‘s 9.44 million dot EVF.
