According to latest rumors, Canon will release a major firmware update to keep the EOS R5 viable through 2023. We expect to see this new feature firmware update announced at NAB 2023 in April.
On the other hand Canon EOS R5 Mark II will be one of the Upcoming Canon Cameras & Lenses in 2023, but that timeline has been debunked for the most part. We expect to see the Canon EOS R5 Mark II next year alongside the EOS R1. Most likely in the first half of 2024.
