Announced: NiSi 9mm f/2.8 Lens for APS-C Mirrorless Cameras

NiSi 9mm f/2.8 lens is now officially announced. The APS-c mirrorless lens is available in Fujifilm X, Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z, and MFT mounts. This is the second lens of the company. First one is the Nisi 15mm f/4 ASPH lens announced a few months ago (currently in stock).

The 9mm f/2.8 is constructed of 14 elements in 12 groups and includes two double-sided aspherical elements and four extra-low dispersion elements. The lens has an aperture range of f/2.8 through f/16 via a 10-bladed aperture diaphragm. The company says the f/2.8 aperture allows for a pleasant bokeh in out-of-focus areas and thanks to the straight blade aperture design, and when closed down the straight-bladed aperture diaphragm produces pleasant sunstar effects.

The NiSi 9mm f/2.8 APS-C lens is available for $459 on the company’s new lens-focused website. NiSi products are sold at Adorama, Amazon, and B&H.
