Canon RF 35mm f/1.2L USM Lens Coming in 2022

According to recent Canon rumors, Canon RF 35mm f/1.2L USM Lens is scheduled to be released in Summer of 2022. As you know this is one of the most wanted glass for Canon EOS R system.

The aperture for the Canon RF 35mm, which is among the most anticipated RF-series Canon lenses until now, has not been finalized yet. It is not yet clear whether it will be F1.2 or F1.4, but considering the rumors and general trend so far, it seems that there is a possibility of F1.2. The interesting thing is that until the announcement date approaches, aperture issue may continue to be unknown. Because there are drawings for both f/1.4 and f/1.2 in the patent application that Canon has filed before. These Canon lenses were the RF 35mm f/1.2L, 35mm f/1.4L, 28mm f/1.2L and 24mm f/1.2L. Looks like either the f/1.2 or f/1.4 will go in mass production this Summer.
