According to latest rumors, Canon is planning to announce a new RF 35mm f/1.2L USM lens for EOS R system cameras later this year. The announcement of the bright prime lens is delayed due to COVID-19.
As you know Canon introduced the EOS R3 with a development announcement. We expect the Canon EOS R3 to be announced officially before the Tokyo Olympics. This major announcement will also bring many new Canon RF lenses. One of them would be the Canon RF 35mm f/1.2L USM.
There was previously a leaked lens roadmap for 2021. Here it shows Canon has 17 new RF mount lenses in its work, including the most anticipated additions such as 70-200mm f/4 and 50mm f/1.8.
