Sony released the macOS version of its Imaging Edge Webcam utility and updated the Windows version. Imaging Edge Webcam lets you connect your Sony camera to your personal computer, and use the camera as a webcam with a livestreaming/web conferencing service.
The macOS version (1.0) supports 35 Sony digital cameras that have been launched, including Sony a9 II, a9, a7R IV, a7R III, a7R II, a7S III, a7S II, a6600, a6400, a6100, RX100 VII, RX100 VI, RX0 II, RX0 and Sony ZV1. The Windows version has also received a 1.1 update.
Also the Imaging Edge Webcam macOS version makes it easy to turn one of the following Sony camera systems into a dedicated webcam by simply connecting it over USB.
