New Nikon D780 Trade-in Program Announced in US
Nikon USA announced a new trade-in program where for a limited time you can get an additional $300 toward a Nikon D780 purchase in addition to the camera’s trade-in value. This program will start on February 3 – check Adorama and B&H for the details.
The Nikon D780 is a replacement for one of the most well-rounded DSLRs ever made: the D750 (see comparison). The mid-range FX-format DSLR features a 24.5MP BSI-CMOS sensor – likely the same as in the Z6 – which features on-sensor phase detection. That means that in live view you’ll get dramatically improved autofocus compared to previous Nikon DSLRs, plus face and eye detection. When shooting through the viewfinder you’ll have a 51-point AF system backed with the higher-resolution metering sensor and algorithms from the D5. See official announcement.
