The Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD FE lens for Sony E-mount price is $899 and it is now available for pre-order at major stores in US.
The new Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD lens weighs in at just 420g and measure 99cm in length. It also offers a minimum object distance of 19cm at the wide-angle end of the focal range. The lens has superb optical quality, as is the FE 28-75mm f/2.8. It will have a competitive price around $899 much lower than Sony lenses.
The lens is listed at Amazon, BHphoto and Adorama. The Tamron 17-28mm F2.8 Di III RXD will start shipping in late July.

Comprising a flexible wide-angle range, the 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD from Tamron is a versatile zoom for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. Covering ultra-wide to wide focal lengths, this lens is particularly suitable for landscape, astrophotography, and architectural shooting.

The lens is threaded for 67mm filters, just like the 28-75.
