Sony a9 II camera is rumored to be announced in September 2019. The Mark II version of high-speed full frame mirrorless camera is expected to feature a 36MP BSI stacked sensor.
We already know that Sony has developed at least three new full frame image sensors: IMX455 (60MP, 8K Video, Low Version of IMX551), IMX551 (60MP) and IMX555 (102MP, 6K Video).
Apart from these high-resolution 8K ready sensors, we believe that we’ll see 60MP sensor on the Sony A7R IV and 36MP BSI stacked sensor on the A9 II.
