According to recent reports, Nikon signed up to purchase the new Sony IMX455 60MP sensor. The Sony IMX455AQR sensor features 60MP, 8k video, and offers native 64 ISO.
The IMX455 sensor PDAF is supposed to be better than the Multi-CAM 20000 currently used in some Nikon cameras.
The IMX455AQR sensor could be used in any other camera manufacturer’s new model. There is a better version of this sensor IMX551 and Sony will probably use it.
Possible candidates for this high-resolution IMX455AQR sensor are the Nikon D860 and the Nikon Z8.
