Canon to Announce 75 Megapixel EOS-R High-Res Camera in late 2019

Canon will allegedly announce a 75-megapixel high-resolution EOS R camera in late 2019. The announcement of the upcoming big-megapixel EOS R is expected in September this fall.

There are already some speculations that Canon will not be releasing next iterations for the EOS 5DS and EOS 5DS R, instead will move to high-resolution full frame mirrorless cameras in the EOS R lineup.

We’re told the company is already testing new Canon full frame mirrorless cameras in the wild. One of them is the 75 Megapixel EOS-R High-Res Camera that is rumored to be announced this Fall.

Recent rumors show that an EOS R camera, which will be slightly higher than 75 MP, is under development. This camera will probably feature IBIS technology. The high-resolution EOS R camera will come with four or five more native RF lenses. The good thing is that one of the new lenses will be the “the best landscape lens in the Canon lineup”.

So to wrap up this 75+ MP full frame Canon EOS R could be the EOS R Pro model. The full frame mirrorless camera is rumored to be announced in fall of 2019.
