Canon EOS R will be the First Canon Full Frame Mirrorless Camera
According to recent rumors, the first Canon full frame mirrorless camera could be named as Canon EOS R.
The major product announcement from the company is expected on September 4-5 and to include Canon full frame mirrorless camera with two new bright prime lenses; EF 50mm f/1.4L IS & EF 50mm f/1.2L II.
First Canon full frame mirrorless camera specs also leaked online. One of the two mentioned camera is rumored to fetaure a 24 or 28MP full frame sensor to compete with Sony a7 III and sure the new Nikon Z6.
Rumored specs of Canon EOS R full frame mirrorless camera
- Camera name: Canon EOS R
- RF Mount (New mount, possible EF compatibility ?)
- No reports of new “RF” lenses being announced alongside the body.
- Similar ergonomics to the EOS M50
- Slightly larger body than the EOS M50
- Will compete with the Sony a7 III & Nikon Z6
- Price around $2,000
- 24mp or 28mp full frame mirrorless sensor (Two different reports)
