Tokina FiRIN 20mm f/2 FE AF lens firmware released

Tokina released a new firmware update for its FiRIN 20mm f/2 FE AF wide-angle prime lens.

If you own this Tokina lens which is designed for Sony E-mount cameras, this upgrade will make you happy as it simply improves the auto-focus performance of Tokina FiRIN 20mm f/2 FE AF in AF-C mode.

As you might familiar, the FíRIN 20mm f/2 FE AF from Tokina is fully compatible with Fast Hybrid AF system and all AF function settings, providing the same AF performance as with common E-mount AF lenses. The price in the US market is $949. The lens can be found at B&H and Adorama.

With this firmware update the auto-focus performance of Tokina FíRIN 20mm F2 FE AF in AF-C mode at high-speed shooting (Hi+/Hi/Mid) when used with Sony α7III, Sony α7RIII, Sony α9 cameras will be improved (when used with Sony α9 auto-focus tracking will work only in Mechanical Shutter type AF-C mode).
