For the year 2019, the company is on the verge to announce the successor model which will be called the Canon Rebel T8i / 850D.

We think the 4K video mode on the Canon Rebel T8i / 850D camera will be limited just like the Canon EOS M50. This will be the main divider in the camera lineup as customers who need more recording time could jump to a higher version.
