Fujifilm X-T100 camera is in development

Fujifilm X-T100 camera is allegedly in development and it would be the entry-level MILC in their APS-C sensor lineup.

There was a time when it was believed that Fujifilm would make the jump to full-frame sensors in both its flagship mirrorless and compact cameras. However, the company unveiled the GFX 50s, the medium format shooter.

Now the gossip talks are mentioning that a new X-T100 camera is in the works and it will have an APS-C sized image sensor. More details after the break!

FUJIFILM X-T100 camera might employ Bayer sensor.

Good news is that the Fujifilm X-T100 camera will be an entry-level model. This means that the mirrorless shooter will be a budget-friendly product placed just below the X-T10 / X-T20 lineup.

However, the upcoming model is planned to employ a Bayer sensor instead of the currently developed X-Trans. Actually there are no specifications leaked or shared by the sources but in this case we expect a 16-megapixel for this camera.

We have to underline that the Fujifilm X-T100 camera will be an entry level line in the company’s DSLR-style models. When it becomes available in the market, than the Fuji APS-C DSLR-style line will look like this.

  • Fujifilm X-T100 line (Bayer) – entry level
  • Fujfilm X-T10/20 line (X-Trans) – mid range
  • Fujfilm X-T2 / X-T2S line (X-Trans) – high end
