Fujifilm Announces Firmware Updates for X-Pro2, X-T2, X-T20 and X100F cameras

Fujifilm announced new firmware updates for several of its current X-series cameras as X-Pro2, X-T2, X-T20 and X100F.

Free upgrades for the Fujifilm X-Pro2, X-T2, X100F and X-T20 cameras will soon be released in November and December 2017.

These updates will provide support for “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO”, improve studio flash controller usability compatibility, introduce a new AF tracking algorithm and include other functional and operational updates

The firmware updates are due as follows:

Firmware Version -due late November : X-T2, X-T20

Firmware Version -due late December : X-Pro2, X100F

Fujifilm X-Pro2: Firmware V.4.0 key features

  • Addition of 4K video mode using Film Simulation modes.
  • Adds support for tethered shooting via USB or Wi-Fi.
  • Updated AF tracking algorithm with enhanced subject tracking.
  • Support for FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO which enables users to convert RAW files with X Processor Pro.
  • Improved radio flash controller usability, allowing users to shoot with compatible third party studio flash in high speed sync or TTL mode via their radio controllers.
  • Adds support for backup and restore of camera settings from one camera to another via FUJIFILM X Acquire.

Fujifilm X-T2: Firmware V.3.0 key features

  • Updated AF tracking algorithm with enhanced subject tracking.
  • Support for FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO which enables users to convert RAW files with X Processor Pro.
  • Improved radio flash controller usability, allowing users to shoot with compatible third party studio flash in high speed sync or TTL mode via their radio controllers.
  • Adds support for backup and restore of camera settings from one camera to another via FUJIFILM X Acquire.

Fujifilm X-T20: Firmware V.1.1 Key features

  • Adds support for touch panel operation while looking into the electronic viewfinder.
