New Olympus PRO lens with F/1.2 Aperture Coming in September
New Olympus PRO lens with F/1.2 aperture is rumored to be announced along with the E-M10 Mark III camera in September.
As we have previously mentioned that two new Olympus PRO lenses are in the works. Both optics will join the PRO series as a weathersealed optic for Micro Four Thirds cameras.
According to recent rumors one of them will arrive earlier. Even the focal length of this fast prime lens is unknown , we expect it would be a Olympus 17mm f/1.2 PRO lens. More details after the break!
Olympus 17mm f/1.2 PRO lens is on the horizon
The company already has the M.Zuiko 17mm f/1.8 lens in their lineup. The ultra compact wide-angle lens offers 34mm equivalent field of view captures large groups or landscapes. Olympus might introdue this optic with a faster aperture of f/1.2 and PRO series advantages.
The Olympus PRO lens series features both superb design and controls. They provide high optical performance, dustproof and splashproof construction, and excellent image quality for all shooting environments.
The last two lenses from the company are the 25mm F1.2 PRO and the 12-100mm F4.0 IS PRO. There is a high demand on the 17mm f/1.2 PRO optic from Olympus fans.
This makes us think that this new Olympus PRO lens with F/1.2 aperture could feature a 17mm focal length. If true Olympus 17mm f/1.2 PRO lens announcement is said to happen along with the E-M10III camera. As always take these claims with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more details!
