Sony A99II Sensor Review: “New Super-Resolution Contender”
The A99II is a good choice for commercial landscape, portrait, editorial, or advertising photographers.
The pros of the Sony A99II camera is sure the 42Mp BSI CMOS sensor. DxOMark finds the low-light performance amazing. Especially the A-mount shooter gives excellent color depth and dynamic range at base ISO.
The highlights also include the hybrid cross-type autofocus. These cross points are promising to deliver incredibly precise autofocus performance and advanced subject tracking of any moving objects right across the image. The 4K video capture at 100Mbps (using XAVC S) with full sensor read-out and no pixel binning also important.
Potential drawbacks are the lack of the electronic viewfinder (EVF) and the higher $3198 price tag. Read the full review at DxOMark.
