Nikon is rumored to announce a new entry-level update to its D5xxx lineup. It will be the Nikon D5600 and to be announced soon.
According to trusted sources, the Nikon D5600 will replace the D5500 in a few days period. The new mid-level F-mount DSLR with an APS-C sensor will feature Snapbridge technology as expected.
Other than the bluetooth connectivity, the main difference from the current D5500 model will be the improved dynamic range. More details after the break!
Nikon D5600 DSLR camera coming soon
As you know that the lower-end models of Nikon refreshes at a faster rate, while the high-end models remains on the market for longer periods of time. This means that D3xxx and D5xxx lineups has a replacement schedule shorter than 18 months.
Even there are no leaked specifications of the upcoming Nikon D5600, we are confident that the DSLR camera will surely feature an APS-C sensor, LCD touchscreen as well as built-in WiFi and GPS. The big improvement should be the dynamic range which is expected to be same as the D7200.
Meanwhile, the Nikon D5500 is available at Amazon for a price under $700. It is a small and lightweight compact DSLR with built-in WiFi, 24.2 MP with touch screen display.
