Fuji has unveiled its first medium format camera development at Photokina 2016 event. Now the rumor mill is claiming that the Fujifilm GFX 50S price will stand around $8,000 with lens.
According to recent gossips the medium format MILC is now in the hands of selected photographers. They are testing the camera and giving their feedback back to Fujiiflm.
When we look at the known specs of the camera, it will consists of a 51.4MP 43.8 x 32.9mm CMOS Sensor and a X-Processor Pro Image Processor. The sensor will provide ISO sensitivity range between 100-12800. Let’s look a little bit deeper to the product.
Fujifilm GFX 50S price might stand at $8,000 with lens
The medium format cameras are expensive and they are not budget-friendly. When we look at the market of current MF cameras, the Pentax 645z looks the affordable one. It costs $7,000 with no lens. This is almost even with the Fujifilm’s 8k intro price.
Considering the Hasselblad’s price $9K with no lens, than the Fujifilm GFX 50S price around $8K with lens makes sense. Anyway we would like to hear your thoughts in the comments section.
The device is still in development and specifications are subject to change. The system will consist of six FUJINON GF Lenses that will be introduced sequentially in early 2017.
The GFX 50S is an ideal choice for studio and wedding photographers. Watch the video below posted by Fujifilm Global.
