Canon is rumored to be working on a new EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III lens. The telephoto zoom optic is said to be announced in 2017.
The rumor mill claims that the upcoming full-frame lens will be a L-grade model. The construction of the lens design is said to be a little bit lighter. The third version of the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L lens will feature a new image stabilization (IS) system as well as optical upgrades.
The telephoto lens will be compatible with Canon EOS film and digital SLR cameras. It provides 70-200mm with full-frame and 112-320mm with APS-C sensor cameras.
