Lens baby has announced the Trio 28mm f/3.5 lens designed specifically for mirrorless camera users.
Lensbaby Trio 28mm f/3.5 lens features a compact 3-in-1 lens design that combines their Twist, Velvet & Sweet selective focus optics into a single lens.
A simple rotation of the lens lets you switch between the three effects. Focusing is done using the outer metal lens ring. It provides 28mm focal length that makes it a useful all-around lens for mirrorless photographers.
This manual focus fullframe lens will be available in Sony E, Fuji X & Micro 43 systems for $279.95. Shipping will start from October 26, 2016.
Lensbaby Trio 28mm f/3.5 lens officially announced
Let’s take a look at the Lensbaby’s most popular optical effects called Twist, Velvet or Sweet.
- Twist gives you a large sharp central area of focus surrounding by twisty, swirling bokeh
- Velvet has a sharp yet dreamy central area of focus with delicate glow from edge-to-edge
- Sweet creates a sharp central sweet spot of focus surrounded by gradually increasing blur
The wide 28mm focal length, as well as the small and compact form to match the size of mirrorless cameras, makes the Trio 28 an ideal lens for on-the-go adventure and will help photographers uniquely capture the soul of street scenes, landscapes, environmental portraits and more.
