Olympus PEN-F test results published by DxOMark. The retro-style Micro Four Thirds camera achieved a score of 74 and became the best performing Olympus camera yet.
On the other hand an overall score of 74 points makes it the top-ranked MFT sensor in the DxOMark database. According to test results, the sensor shows progress in image quality performance for Olympus digital cameras. The camera performed its best scores at base ISO sensitivity.
The Olympus PEN-F ($1,199 – Amazon | B&H | Adorama) camera features a 20-megapixel sensor with a 50-Megapixel high resolution shot capability. It has 5-axis Image Stabilisation system, built-in viewfinder with a real-time preview of settings adjustments. The shooter offers an impressive 2.36 Million-dot OLED panel. The PEN-F also boasts a fully articulating 1.04 Million-dot 3″ LCD and can record full 1080HD videos at 60p.

Not only the highest resolution Olympus sensor to date, the PEN-F also ranks as the highest scoring Olympus hybrid on our database. Improvements over previous Olympus 16Mp sensors are modest, but greater color depth at higher sensitivities is a positive step that will be welcomed by many photographers.
