Nikon has filed a new patent in Japan for a standard zoom lens for CX-mount mirrorless cameras.
The new patent describes Nikon 9-30mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens designed for mirrorless cameras with 1-inch-type sensors. The mirrorless lens offers a 35mm focal length equivalent of approximately 24.5-81.5mm.
Nikon filed several lens patents in the past for 1 Nikkor mirrorless system cameras. See here, here and here.
If it becomes available on the market, the Nikon 9-30mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens will become the upgraded and probably more expensive than the f/3.5-5.6 model.
