Sony is rumored to announce a new A6000-series mirrorless camera which is expected to be a replacement for the NEX-7 flagship E-mount shooter in February 2016.
According to latest Sony rumors, the company decided to push back new A6xxx-series camera announcement to February-March 2016.
Final name of the camera is yet not clear, still it could be the Sony A6100 or A6000 II or even the A7000. Read more A6xxx buzz after the break!
Sony A6100 / A7000 Rumored To Be Announced in February 2016
Sony A6000 successor camera previously mentioned several times as the A7000 E-mount shooter. But the popular APS-c mirrorless camera might have the A6100 name and follow the A5000 series path.
Here are the rumored specs of Sony A6100 / A7000:
- 32-megapixel BSI
- 5-axis IBIS
- Much better ISO
- 4K
- 285 PDAF points
- New EVF
- 14.5fps
- Smaller than A6000, less weight too
- No weather sealing
- Mic-input
Price of the camera is unknown at the moment and so if this camera is the A6100 or the long rumored A7000. Currently the NEX-7 is available for a price tag around $400 and the A6000 can be found for a price about $450.
