Ricoh Service Advisory for “power off” issue on some Pentax K-3 II Cameras
Ricoh Imaging Americas issued a service advisory for “power-off” issue when using the Pentax K-3 II semi-pro DSLR camera.
Pentax is addressing an anomaly found on a small group of its Pentax K-3 II digital SLRs that will not turn off, even when the power lever is in the ‘off’ position.
Ricoh will service any K-3 II with a serial number lower than 6206660 at no charge – even if the camera is not having any problems. Users can contact Ricoh at 1-800-234-0276 for further information.
Pentax K-3 II features an APS-C-size CMOS image sensor with approximately 24.35 effective megapixels; an AA-filter-free design for high-resolution image reproduction; a high-performance 27-point AF system; high-speed continuous shooting at approximately 8.3 images per second; and a dustproof, weather-resistant construction ideal for capturing shots outdoors.
